Re: Reminder For MHM Virtual Conference. Submit your abstracts today!

Anyone interested in Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) should put this date firmly in their calendar. No matter where they are!
Monica: do you already have the times available? I assume it will be 9 am to 5 pm New York Time?

I attended part of the last conference and I really enjoyed the format. It was a great mixture between some (few) people in the room in New York and then lots (hundreds!) of people attending online. The moderation did a great job to bring the people from the room and the people online together.

I found it interesting that you said "ensure that schools are ready for girls". Normally one would expect it the other way around "ensure girls are ready for school".

Mind you, we cannot neglect boys too much. Here in Germany at least there are big discussions that boys are being left out in schools... (not in terms of MHM but in general; we also have the problem that teachers are more and more females only so the boys are having fewer and fewer male teachers which is not good).

So perhaps better: "ensure that schools are ready for special needs of teenage girls, while not exluding boys either".

Regards,
Elisabeth
